JOB TITLE: Mechanical Assembly Technician

DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing

REPORTING TO: Operations

PAY RANGE: $19-28/hr

 

SUMMARY:

The Piasecki Aircraft Corporation CNC Machinist will play a pivotal part in the assembly process of cutting-edge vertical lift aircraft. Your expertise in mechanical assembly will be crucial as you collaborate closely with project engineers, design engineers, mechanics, and other technicians to bring innovative aircraft to life.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

Perform mechanical assembly tasks according to engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures.

· Assemble and install mechanical components, subsystems, and systems in accordance with project requirements.

· Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.

· Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical assembly issues as they arise during the build process.

· Collaborate with project engineers and design engineers to optimize assembly processes and improve product quality.

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.

· Document assembly processes, procedures, and changes for future reference.

 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

· Proficient in mechanical assembly techniques and procedures.

· Strong understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.

· Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance skills.

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

· Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot assembly issues and implement solutions.

· Adherence to safety protocols and practices in a manufacturing environment.

 

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / CLEARANCES:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in aerospace or related industries.

· Certification or training in mechanical assembly techniques and procedures is a plus.
