Job DescriptionJob Description

J2T is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contractor-to-hire Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a background in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Accounting Manager in the day-to-day, monthly, and year-end functions of the Finance Department.
  • Maintained files and records and reconciled accounts to prepare ledger entries.
  • Prepare comprehensive account reconciliations supported by relevant information.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations effectively.
  • Monitor and document monthly P-Card expenditures.
  • Ensure accurate and policy-compliant recording of revenue and receivables by reviewing and posting Accounts Receivable invoicing.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related tasks when necessary.
  • Undertake various accounting, financial, or administrative duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting within a medium to large business.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards Enterprise One and/or Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Experience in implementing financial systems, such as ERP systems, is a plus.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
