We are seeking a Communications Associate to join our team You will be responsible for the public relations and marketing initiatives of the non-profit organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain favorable internal and external communications for the organization
  • Coordinate public relations activities and events
  • Develop new media relationships and cultivate new business contacts
  • Fundraising, building relationships with donors, and communicating with donors and the media
  • Work with Executive Director and working committees to help promote organization's recognition
  • Assist in producing marketing and promotional materials
  • Assist in preparing budgets and managing outside consultants

​Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience in public relations or other related fields
  • Familiarity with social media marketing strategies
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree and experience in communications, marketing or sales
  • Some experience working in non-profit arts and culture organizations a plus
