We are seeking a talented, results-oriented Project Manager who is able to drive high quality, on-time, on-budget implementation for our clients. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, low-drama / high-accountability residential construction project manager who is organized, self-motivated, and enjoys building successful relationships with clients and subcontractors. The Project Manager will be responsible for contract development and execution for our dedicated building division so experience in and passion for sales, design and high-end renovation is preferred. The position is based out of our Wauwatosa studio and requires regular, local travel to various job sites.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for estimating and quoting high-end renovation projects and setting forth budgets that will be adhered to during the construction process
  • Responsible for drafting, presenting, and closing construction contracts with clients
  • Responsible for establishing construction schedules. Provides regular updates to clients, sets and meets deadlines
  • Serves as the main point of quality control and communication for every project. Provides regular updates to the design team and clients, drafts change orders, issues work orders to subcontractors
  • Maintains a secure, clean, and well-run jobsite. Provides hands-on assistance when required, including installing dust protection measures, floor protection, general clean up when needed
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest level of quality. Manages the shop drawing process, inspects workmanship for accuracy, ensures design drawings and specifications are followed

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in residential construction / remodeling
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
  • Proactive problem solver, willing to work directly with subcontractors, vendors, and design staff to find work-arounds
  • Good judgement, has the ability to balance the need for quality and timeliness while maintaining a project budget
  • Polished and professional communication skills. Able to build strong and successful relationships with clients, designers, and subcontractors
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of architectural conventions and construction techniques
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing concerns. Able to prioritize, and to navigate difficult situations
  • Passion for accuracy, sense of urgency and personal accountability
  • Excellent presentation skills, enjoys working directly with clients and navigating complex projects. Strong follow-up and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a desire to grow a new division of an established company, create standards and best practices, and be rewarded for new business development
