Rare listing Highly sought after employment opportunity at our outpatient interventional vascular lab. We are currently seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to join our amazing team You will be responsible for assisting radiologists during sterile, interventional endovascular procedures in an outpatient vascular lab setting.

Immediate opening for a full-time Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) in an Endovascular Outpatient practice in Memphis, TN. Previous experience in sterile fluoroscopic endovascular procedures is preferred with current BLS/ACLS training required. Applicants must have a positive attitude and ability to work well as a team. Job Overview:

Performance of x-rays for diagnostic purposes. Follow established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.

To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. 1. Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. Escort patients to dressing and procedure rooms, provide verbal and/or written instructions and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed. Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during procedure.

2. Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls according to specification of physicians performing procedure. Take x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.

3. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members.

4. Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order. Report equipment malfunctions to Practice Manager.

5. Perform related administrative duties including completing necessary forms, maintaining inventory, and maintaining procedure logs.

6. Maintain radiologic records including cost and inventory used daily.

7. Order and maintain adequate radiologic supplies.

8. Serve as a back-up for clinical team members as needed by controlling patient flow

9. Perform all other duties as assigned.

10. Assist and maintain sterile fields while assisting physicians with outpatient surgical procedures

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Associate’s Degree or higher required

• Endovascular Radiologic Technologist experience highly preferred

• Knowledge of sterile technique highly preferred

Certification and Licensure:

• Current Tennessee Radiologic Technologist licensure required (ARRT certification or Scrub Technologist Certification) to manipulate the C-Arm during procedures

• Trained in BLS/CPR and be ACLS-certified within 60 days of hire

 

Work Environment:

• Environmentally controlled medical office

• Fast paced environment with rare high pressure or emergent situations

• Exposure to radiation which is minimized using required, provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective lead aprons, gloves and other shielding devices and monitored by radiation badges

• Possible exposure to bodily fluids, infectious specimens, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a medical office environment

• Frequent interaction with a diverse population including team members, providers, patients, product vendors and other members of the public.

 

Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing, walking, grasping, carrying, reaching, bending, and stooping

• Occasional sitting

• Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds, with assistance if needed

• May need to lift or turn patients who are disabled, with assistance if needed

• Frequent use of computer, keyboard, copy and fax machine and phone
