Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, as well as diagnose and repair mechanical issues on fleet vehicles to ensure they remain in optimal condition.
• Use diagnostic equipment and techniques to identify problems with vehicles, including engine malfunctions, electrical issues, and performance concerns, and develop effective repair solutions.
• Conduct thorough inspections of fleet vehicles to assess their overall condition, identify any potential safety hazards or maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and vehicle histories, to track maintenance schedules, identify trends, and support effective decision-making.
• Coordinate with parts suppliers to order necessary replacement parts and components, verify the quality and compatibility of parts received, and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability for repairs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials, use of personal protective equipment, and compliance with environmental regulations, to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension.
• Possession of relevant certifications such as Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Prior experience in fleet maintenance or automotive repair, with a proven track record of working on various vehicle types.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to analyze complex issues and implement effective repair strategies.
• Keen attention to detail and precision in diagnostic tests and repair procedures.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information and collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere to achieve common goals.
