Monday - Thursday, 5:00AM-2:30PM
Qualifications:
- Problem-Solving: Quickly identifies and resolves issues; collaborates effectively in group problem-solving scenarios.
- Essential Duties: Must be able to perform each core duty satisfactorily.
- Education: High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience/training, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
- Communication: Able to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Presentation: Capable of effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and colleagues.
- Math Skills: Proficient in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with two-digit numbers and performing these operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Comprehension: Applies common sense understanding to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Problem Solving: Handles problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Physical Requirements: Able to occasionally lift/move up to 20 pounds.
- Vision: Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities:
- Assembles small parts, capacitors, switches, and related components into cabinets under close supervision; fabricates various sub-assemblies; performs other duties as assigned.
- Essential Functions: Must be able to perform the listed functions satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
- Accommodations: Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Teamwork: Works mainly with other assemblers and ensures consistent quality and production standards.
- Assistance: May assist sheet metal, grinding, and welding crews as needed.
- Forklift Operation: Uses a forklift to move pallets and cabinets.
- Assembly: Constructs capacitor racks, installs oil switches, copper fuse holders, insulation, mountings, porcelain, links, and louver covers.
- Drilling: Drills and installs plastic fittings.
- Construction: Builds transformer brackets.
- Verification: Confirms correct clearances and hole diameters according to blueprints.
- Deburring: Uses an air sander to deburr door handles.
- Tool Operation: Operates mini-punches, grinders, band saws, impact wrenches, ratchets, and small hand tools.
- Hardware: Fabricates small hardware parts.
- Maintenance: Keeps the work area clean and maintained.
- Dependability: Follows instructions, responds to management direction, and takes responsibility for actions.
- Professionalism: Treats others with respect and consideration, accepts responsibility for actions.
- Quality: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, seeks ways to improve and promote quality, monitors work for quality.
- Efficiency: Completes work in a timely manner.
- Safety and Security: Observes safety and security protocols, reports unsafe conditions, uses equipment and materials properly.
- Correspondence: Writes simple correspondence.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Work Environment: Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
