Client is expanding and has a need for a Recycling Manager to join their team

The Recycling Manager will be responsible for managing the recycling process of regrind, rework, waste, and scrap materials. The Recycling Manager will set up workflow processes, manage customer buyback programs, and ensure that the recycling process is a profitable center for the business. The Recycling Manager will also be responsible for creating and implementing a business plan to maximize profits and minimize waste. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate

 

Essential Functions

· Create and implement a business plan to maximize resources and minimize waste.

· Set up workflow processes to ensure efficient recycling of materials.

· Manage customer buyback programs.

· Ensure the continuity of production and supervise the optimal deployment of subordinate employees.

· Ensure proper recording of production protocols and reports.

· Inform management about irregularities in the production process – failures, property damage, lack of material, non-conformities.

· Supervise and manage the daily operations of the recycling center, including sorting, processing, and quality of recyclable materials.

· Manage inventory of materials and supplies.

· Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

· Evaluate, organize, and motivate subordinate activities leading to continuous improvement of production and quality.

· Create conditions for increasing compliance with legal and internal regulations and take measures to protect the employer's property.

· Cooperate with maintenance and supervision to ensure the resolution of defects in machinery.

· Cooperate with logistics, planning and production regarding reporting of raw materials levels, deadlines for order completion, machine repairs, waste removal, etc.

Required Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in technical field

· Experience in plastics processing: regrind, rework, waste, and scrap management.

· MS Office: Word, Excel

· Sage X3, SAP, Kaizen, Lean, 5S experience preferred

· Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations

· Strong leadership and communication skills
