We are growing Pavilion Compounding Pharmacy is looking for a technician to work in the front retail pharmacy.

About the role: 
We are looking for a full time pharmacy technician who is responsible for handling customer transactions and inventory, evaluating prescriptions, recording and verifying patient information, all while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations.

Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you’ll be responsible for processing and filling medication orders, and distributing prescription drugs and pharmaceutical supplies.

You may also be responsible for weighing, measuring and checking prescriptions to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities in a lab environment.

To be a successful candidate, you should be extremely comfortable working with customers in a fast-paced environment and able to receive general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare medication and other healthcare products for patients
  • Measure dosage of medications, according to prescription orders
  • Process prescriptions using computer software
  • Label and record dosage information
  • Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Manage a high volume of incoming calls and fielding patient questions
  • Basic math aptitude, ability to measure accurately, interpret instructions and carry them out
  • Keen attention to detail to perform quality assurance methods to ensure medications are prepared properly
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management skills and experience managing numerous tasks simultaneously

​Qualifications:

  • Previous Pharmacy experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current registration with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy required. Certified Technician within 6 months of hire date is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Job may be performed in a lab environment

This is a full time position, working Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm.
