MasterMold is expanding, and we are adding to our Supervision team.

Starting salary is a minimum of $70,000/yr, salary is negotiable and based upon experience.

Paint Crew Supervisor

  • Assist in overseeing paint sub-processes to ensure parts will be conforming to specifications.
    • This includes all online positions and off-line positions related to paint including but not limited to Decal, Masking, Pin-striping, CVO processes, check cell, inspection, blow-off and tack-off.
  • Assist with production scheduling of sub-departments to meet customer requirements.
    • Sub-departments in this offer include but are not limited to all off-line paint department areas such as finesse, pinstripe, rework/part prep, decal, finishing, assembly and final inspection.
  • Oversee all paint and sub-paint personnel, mentoring and training for optimal performance.
  • Performs defect analysis and cataloging for paint systems.
    • Make suggestions for improvement based off of the data.
  • Assist with training and the validation of training on paint processes in the paint shop for all paint and sub-paint departments including assembly operations.
  • Monitor paint quality on-line in the system to ensure paint quality is consistent from both robots and the painters.
  • Assist with Fixture design for off-line processes such as pinstripe and decal operations.
  • Assist with coordinating safety training for all areas of paint.
  • Quality data analysis from sub-departments – drive improvements from the data.
  • Provide process troubleshooting support to all paint processes and assist in implementing effective countermeasures.
  • Serve as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing to resolve quality issues, drive appearance improvement and defect reduction.
  • Proposing the most cost-efficient methods for production to leadership.
  • Support trial events, conduct testing and provide oversight as needed.
  • Work closely with CI efforts to identify and recommend methods for improving efficiency and reducing waste and assist with the purchase of new equipment.
  • Develop and implement tools and processes to improve paint system and off-line sub-department performance, including quality, uptime, efficiency, and cost.
  • Provide process and troubleshooting support to paint and paint sub-processes and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Assist in ensuring environmental compliance in paint systems.
  • Continually improve knowledge of paint application equipment and practices to improve quality and reduce costs.
  • Performs all other tasks as assigned.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Report Daily to the Johnson Creek Plant for 3rd shift paint operations(Current shift Monday – Friday, hours subject to change)
  • The expectation is to have you arrive before the start of the shift and stay past the end of the shift to make sure everything is set up properly and hand downs to next shift are completed.
  • From time to time it may require that the shift work longer to meet customer demands.
