Job Summary:
As a Lead Network Administrator, you will play a critical role in overseeing the network infrastructure within Zone D, with a primary focus on VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) and CCAS (Call Control and Application Server) systems. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of network administrators, ensuring network performance and security, and addressing complex networking challenges. Collaboration with other IT divisions to align network strategies with broader IT goals is an integral part of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Management: Oversee and manage the network infrastructure in Zone D, with a specific emphasis on VOIP and CCAS systems, to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of network administrators, providing guidance, support, and fostering professional growth within the team.
Network Performance: Monitor and optimize network performance, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks, latency issues, and other performance-related challenges.
Network Security: Implement and enforce security measures to protect the network from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
Complex Networking Challenges: Address complex networking issues and troubleshoot network-related problems, ensuring minimal downtime and interruptions.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT divisions to align network strategies with broader IT goals and ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other systems.
VOIP and CCAS Expertise: Maintain an in-depth understanding of VOIP and CCAS technologies, staying updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance network capabilities.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure effective network operations and manage service contracts where necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration and management.
- Experience with VOIP and CCAS systems is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, and security.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Must possess at least a Secret Clearance
