Working extensively within Permian, Utica, Marcellus, and Eagle Ford basins, we are seeking experienced Corporate/ Operational Trainers well experienced with content development – to help establish a district-based training program for our employee population, which will be delivered in district weekly.

The Nuts and Bolts of The Job:

Working in support of the Director of Operational Training, Operational Trainers are vital members of the organization, responsible for generating training content, assessing competencies, and administering effective training programs that empower employees to excel in their roles. A ground floor opportunity to help build a training program, supporting curriculum creation and participate in the launch of a new employee education program – where you will work within regionally based teams to deliver knowledge and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth. Prior experience working within the energy industry is preferred.

You will:

  • Travel In region to deliver team training.
  • Administer operational training programs in your respective regional assignments.
  • Provide necessary training support to your assigned region by prioritizing, planning, scheduling, and implementing new and additional refresher operations training curriculums.
  • Develop and update content for operational training courses.
  • Evaluate employee operational competencies and address gaps.
  • Identify and report training needs and issues.
  • Assist employees and mentors completing training and mentoring duties.
  • Provide ad hoc training as necessary.
  • Manage training equipment including items like tablets, computers, and other electronic equipment as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

You Bring:

  • Prior experience as a trainer, working within a corporate training department
  • 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas or mechanical/electrical industry preferred.
  • Hydraulic fracturing operation or electrical operations experience is an asset.
  • High proficiency in utilizing learning management systems and other training technologies.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft platforms (Office, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to articulate and administer instruction in a positive manner within team dynamics.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to attend, participate, and successfully complete the scheduled New Hire Safety training, including but not limited to H2S, Powered Industrial, and basic First Aid and CPR training.
  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change and receptive to new instructions.
  • Fully knowledgeable, compliant and takes initiative to promote and work with digital platforms including Active Learner, Paycom, KPA, and other company mandated systems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or with minimum.
