Corporate Counsel Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced lawyer to serve as our Corporate Counsel. In this position, you will oversee our legal department, providing advice on compliance issues, contract negotiations and disputes, and potential litigation. You will collaborate with department managers to draft legal documents and review contracts to ensure they meet all regulatory guidelines. When necessary, you will also coordinate with outside counsel. Our ideal candidate has at least five years of legal experience and is familiar with laws concerning intellectual property and employment.

Corporate Counsel Duties and Responsibilities

  • Offer the company legal advice in a variety of areas

  • Draft legal documents, including contracts

  • Represent our company in court and arbitration

  • Monitor our activities for compliance issues

  • Communicate with stakeholders on legal matters

Corporate Counsel Requirements and Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

  • Active Nevada Law License (with an active license in California desired but not required)

  • Experience with contract law employment, regulatory compliance, and strong litigation experience (litigation management a strong preference) 

  • Strong communication and advocacy skills

  • Excellent observation and critical thinking abilities

  • minimum 5 years experience required.
