Position Overview

We are a dynamic, fast-growing fashion company committed to helping our customers find the fun in their busy lives. As we continue to elevate our brand presence, we are seeking a Director of Stores who is responsible for overseeing the retail division of a company. Through strong leadership, the Store Director motivates store teams to achieve company objectives and metrics and manages resources efficiently to drive business to maximize productivity and profit. This role represents our brand standards in selling, service, and merchandising. While in the role this individual is expected to demonstrate integrity, honesty and knowledge. This position will promote our company’s culture, values, and mission while fostering a positive working environment that encourages diversity, mutual respect and teamwork. The Store Director also understands and ensures proper security procedures are followed. 


Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement short and long-term retail strategies, plans, and programs to drive sales and profit margins 
  • Manage store operations to ensure customer satisfaction and company objectives are met
  • Analyze market trends to make informed decisions regarding product selection, pricing, and advertising
  • Collaborate with other executives to set company goals and develop policies and procedures
  • Provide direction and leadership to store managers and staff to ensure consistent performance and high-quality customer service
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure products are stocked and available for customers
  • Set and monitor budgets to ensure expenses are managed effectively
  • Monitor competitors and industry trends to stay ahead of the curve and adapt to changing market conditions
  • Oversee and assist in pre-store opening activities as new stores are added


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a senior retail leadership role


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Passion for the Tuckernuck brand and interested in retail/fashion
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with budgeting and financial management
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of industry trends and market conditions
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly
