Job Summary:
As a Production Technician with SmartSource your primary responsibility will be to plan, organize, and execute activities required to QC, prep, and stage customer AV orders for delivery. You will work closely with Project Managers, and other cross-functional team members to ensure orders are prepped and configured to the customer’s requirements. Additional responsibilities include software imaging, configuring, and testing of computers and laptops, laser printers, IT related equipment, large display monitors, along with other tradeshow equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of all Audio Visual product technology for rental orders. Including Shure Wireless Microphone systems, JBL Audio Systems, Panasonic Projection Systems, Stumpfl Projection Surfaces, Yamaha and Allen & Heath consoles, and Analog Way and Barco processors, GrandMA, HOG consoles, Martin and Colorado Fixtures.
- Work with Project Managers, Solutions Architects, and Field Technicians on proper order configuration and requirements.
- Quality control of inbound Audio Visual product technology checking for damages, test, clean, and return stock to designated area.
- Accurately record and report quality compliance related issues in ERP system.
- Ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions in ERP.
- Assist in training other members of technical staff.
- Maintain physical organization of AV product group stock in warehouse.
- Maintain clean and organized AV testing areas.
- Support Production Supervisor in day-to-day functions as directed.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of direct hands-on experience with AV equipment.
- Adept in the setup, QC, troubleshooting, and operating of AV equipment.
- Ability to think and work independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
- A desire to continually improve performance and take it to the next level.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to load/unload company vehicles for transport to rental equipment to and from events.
- A clean driving record and the ability to drive company vehicles.
