A Specialty Car Store based in the South Hills. Unique Motor Cars is looking for highly motivated and experienced candidates to share and utilize their expertise in mechanical repairs, auto body repair, and some customization. We service both foreign and domestic vehicles, and also high end vehicles. We need you to have a valid PA drivers license and both PA inspection licenses.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the customer
- Perform basic maintenance, including changing motor oil, rotating tires, maintenance schedules, etc
- Identify mechanical and electrical problems with both manual and computerized diagnostic equipment
- Repair or replace worn parts and systems, such as spark plugs, wheel bearings, brake pads, fuel systems, and sensors
- Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systems
- Repair and or replace all mechanical. electrical and computerized systems in a timely manner.
- Perform repairs thoroughly and accurately
- Ensure customer satisfaction at all times
- Must be willing to work on cars and light duty trucks and have a good attitude and honest work ethics
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Maintain the shop and service area for cleanlines
- Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including, engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, air conditioning, braking, ect
- Explain mechanical diagnostic and required repairs in a non-technical manner to advisor or customer
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an automotive technician, mechanic, or other related fields
- Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Must have valid PA drivers license
- Must have PA Emissions and State Safety inspection licenses
- Minimum of 5 years experience.
- Must have your own tools.
- Ability to diagnose problems using computer scan tools and manual diagnostics.
