Modeler - BIM

BIM MODELER – Boston, MA and/or Portland, ME

Join our firm and work with our team of modelers, drafters, enclosure consultants, engineers and architects, to convert project building information from clients, existing conditions plans, and our own field work into accurate models and associated contract drawings. Assist and lead LeMessurier’s enclosure group in managing BIM templates, AR/VR presentations, energy modeling within BIM, and packaging of deliverables to meet client’s own BIM standards. Manage the 3D model, renderings, draw sections & details, and maintain models and drawings to the highest quality of both LeMessurier standards and best practices of the industry.

Qualifications:

3-7 years of hands-on experience with building information modeling, specifically Revit, in a building/construction related industry. Strong ability to communicate with project members both in and outside of the office to solve problems; produce highly detailed, ready to build construction documents, within desired schedules. Ability to multi-task between CAD/BIM managing for projects and supporting our related disciplines.

This position is for individuals with Revit modeling experience in the field of Architecture, and or structures, with desired experience in architectural façade / enclosure design.

This individual should have:

· Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent certified technical training in the use of Autodesk, NAAB 5 year Architecture degree, licensed optional is preferred.

Software. / Experience

• Required : REVIT A/S and BlueBeam
• Preferred: Enscape/rendering, Rhino3D, Sketchup Pro, Formit, Autocad, Masterspec
• Experience in the application of Revit modeling software in an architectural and or engineering consulting firm preparing project documents, such as for single structures to developing campus master planning, for the full range of building types, and from small historic masonry buildings to larger commercial and or highrise buildings of significant size and complexity.
• The capability of working in a collaborative environment with a team of professional architectural and engineering Revit modelers and providing advice and guidance in the preparation of project documents, related presentations using Revit, rendering and animation software.
• Experience in coordinating the architectural and structural Revit model with the Revit models of other design disciplines (civil-site, mechanical, etc.) to identify conflicts and notify design team leads where the structural Revit model may be deficient.
• Ability to manage and provide direction and training to Revit modelers with less experience in the development of project Revit models and project documents and perform quality control review of work done by others.
• Desire to increase personal knowledge and capability in the use of Revit and other preferred softwares, modeling technology, rendering, animation, participate / attend regional and national training conferences as it relates to Software, design and management, and the development of company standards, templates, tools, and hardware to increase productivity in the use of Revit.
• Able to develop / manage scheduling and budgeting of software / hardware and training upgrades and new acquisitions. Learn to estimate the time necessary to develop the project Revit model and prepare project documents.
