We are seeking a Pipe Support Estimator to become a part of our team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct labor and material cost analysis
- Competence in using estimation and engineering software
- Understanding of Engineering Drawings: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including isometrics, P&IDs, and layout drawings.
- Knowledge of Pipe Support Types: Familiarity with different types of pipe supports (e.g., spring hangers, clamps, shoes, guides, and anchors) and their applications.
- Working with internal Piping Technology and Products organizations to help manage purchasing and outsourcing
- Material Estimation: Ability to estimate the quantities and costs of materials needed for pipe supports, including the correct selection of materials based on load, temperature, and environmental conditions.
Qualifications:
- Ability to adjust estimates and approaches based on changes in project scope, design alterations, or unforeseen challenges.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems related to pipe support design and installation.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to effectively communicate with engineers, project managers, suppliers, and clients to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
- Engineer or technical degree preferred.
