REQUIRED

· A four-year degree in Information Sciences, Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

· Advanced applicable knowledge of common network technologies at OSI Layer 2 required.

· Strong oral and written communication skills required.

· Background must demonstrate the ability to operate within a complex, dynamic environment.

· Knowledge of PON networking.

PREFERRED

· Applicable entry-level knowledge of network technologies at OSI Layer 3 preferred.

· Entry-level knowledge of scripting preferred.

· CCNA level certification preferred.

· Advanced knowledge of network access technologies such as xDSL or DOCSIS preferred.

Network Engineer III, Access

REQUIRED

· A four-year degree in Information Sciences, Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

· Advanced applicable knowledge of common network technologies at OSI Layer 3 required.

· CCNA certification required.

· Advanced applicable knowledge of network access technologies including xDSL and PON required.

· Advanced knowledge of IP MPLS technology required.

· Experience with xDSL and PON troubleshooting for the purpose of reparation or break/fix activities required.

· Possesses leadership potential and displays such potential to influence others and grow their knowledge.

· Exceptional knowledge of optical RF theory and propagation required.

· Strong oral and written communications skills required.

· Background must demonstrate the ability to operate within a complex, dynamic environment.

PREFERRED

· CCNP level certification preferred.
