A Part Time/Full time Psych position is available in the Chicago North suburbs, Skilled Nursing Facility. The position is for 3-4 days a week. The candidate must have at least 1 year of NP experience and some geriatric experience as a nurse or NP. LTC or skilled experience is not required.
Responsibilities:
- Examines, diagnoses and treats newly admitted patients and existing patients
- Collaborates and communicates with Primary Physician and facility nursing staff
- Performs physical examinations related to psychiatry
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests as appropriate
- Prescribes medications or non-pharmacological treatments
- Collaborates and communicates with healthcare professionals, patient and family of patient
- Records physical findings in EMR/Patient Records within specific time frame
- Submits and reports all scheduling, payroll and billing in a timely manner
- Effectively communicates with colleagues and facility staff for all facility problems
Qualifications:
- Required education: Master’s Degree
- Required license or certification: Nurse Practitioner certification, IL APN license, CS and DEA
- Required:1 year of experience
- Required: psych experience
