Houston Bark Park and Daycare is a family owned and operated establishment that has two locations in the Heights and has expanded to the Energy Corridor area. We are looking for amazing new faces to join us in our continued growth with positions available at all three locations. We are looking for an energetic dog lover that wants to spend their day with dogs No experience needed, but all applicants must LOVE dogs, be dependable, and be able to work as a team.
Our kennel technician will be directly responsible for maintaining a clean environment through deep cleaning, sanitizing and performing laundry tasks. Other tasks will include feeding, following detailed instructions, washing bowls, sweeping/mopping and some dog handling. Because we are a small family owned and operated business, we all help where we can Expect to help with daycare and some bathing.
Requirements:
- You MUST LOVE dogs Working with dogs is not for everyone; it can be exhausting and disgusting. If you really love dogs, though, it can be fulfilling and rewarding
- Attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle all types of dogs are the tools you need.
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.
- This position is exposed to moderate noise levels.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings, is required.
- Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with team members.
- Weekend and holidays hours are required. We do rotate shifts but are expected to work at least one weekend a month and a couple holidays a year.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Availability:
Schedule: Weekday shifts are: 1:00pm – 7:30pm. May be asked to help in other areas of the facility.
Weekend shifts required. Morning and midday shifts are available on the weekends.
