Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for a Crew Lead with a positive attitude capable of working both independently and also leading a small crew performing landscape maintenance and some installation. Duties vary depending on the needs of the company and season but include: edge, mow, blow, pruning, nutrient and herbicide application, irrigation repair, installation of hardscape, plants, beds, etc. equipment maintenance, helping to train new crew members, and other duties as needed to serve our customer and company needs. Work typically occurs Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend work may be necessary. Hours may fluctuate.

Pay and Benefits

-Pay is hourly starting at $23 per hour increasing to $25 after 2 months paid every two weeks

-Paid time off available after 90 days

-Skill building, training, and opportunities to grow professionally

Qualifications

Able to engage customers, coworkers, and the public with a respectful positive attitude

Have previous 1 year or more of landscape or closely related experience

Able to be self motivated and work independently to exceed customer expectations

Able to lead crew members and maintain appropriate relations to complete daily tasks

Able to drive the company vehicles with a valid license and insurable driving record

Able to tow and back in a trailer safely

Able to work in all conditions

Able to lift 70 lbs minimum

Able to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, twist, climb, and squat

Have and be able to use a smartphone for communication, scheduling, job tracking, and clocking in and out

Have reliable transportation to and from work

Able to read and speak English and communicate clearly and professionally with crew and customers alike

Proficiency with mowers, trimmers, and blowers as well as pruning tools

Basic knowledge and experience regarding landscape maintenance accompanying equipment use

Able to demonstrate reliable attendance and work ethic and be a positive example to crew members
