We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during various procedures and ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our patients. Your responsibilities will include preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, taking and dental x-rays, taking photos and providing support to both the dentist and patients throughout their visits.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by cleaning and arranging instruments, equipment, and materials
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them tools and instruments, and providing suction and retraction as needed
- Take dental x-rays as instructed by the dentist
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials to ensure their cleanliness, functionality, and availability
- Handing off patients to front desk and provide post-operative instructions when necessary
- ensuring efficient patient flow and minimal wait times
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Assist in the administration of anesthesia and the application of topical anesthetic
- Perform basic dental laboratory tasks, such as pouring and trimming models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and guidelines
- use of scanner's and CT is must
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or relevant certification
- X-ray licensed
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- positive attitude
- This is a NO DRAMA OFFICE
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant
- CPR certification
