Position Summary:

Cellofoam is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant for our corporate offices located in Conyers, Georgia. This position requires a talented accounting professional that is hardworking, knowledgeable, and completely devoted to their craft. The position requires ERP design and implementation experience along with business process knowledge. Essential functions include analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization.

 

Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):

  • Supervises and assists the daily work of team members including:
  • Holding the team accountable for the accurate and timely completion of Settlement activities:
  • Reconcile and update inventory volumes; work to resolve volume discrepancies.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, and obligations to project future results.
  • Settle all third-party transactions per contractual terms.
  • Work cross functionally with senior leadership in planning and budgeting.
  • Liaise with counterparties should any discrepancies occur; provide thorough explanations and seek resolutions to the discrepancies.
  • Timely and accurately reconciling and closing inventory at month end.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are accurately reflected in the financial records.
  • Assists in developing solutions to financial and operational processes for inventory functions, policies and procedures.
  •  Support internal and external audits.
  • Carries out ad hoc reports/assignments as needed.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external counterparties
  • Conduct audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and statutes.
  •  Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of department wide plans, goals, and deadlines.\
  •  Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  •  Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
  •  Maintain a working knowledge of and follow corporate standards for business conduct and federal antitrust laws.
  • Adhere to Cellofoam North America Inc. company focus areas – safety, financial, customer, and people.
  • Keep Director of Finance and managers informed at all times of potential issues and concerns.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  1. Administration and Management: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. 
  2. Customer and Personal Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  3. Mathematics: Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
  4. Clerical: Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  5. English Language: Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  6. Computers and Electronics: Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other related discipline (equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
