Job Summary:
As a Daycare Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the growth and development of young children entrusted to your care. You will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn and thrive. Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, monitoring children's progress, and ensuring their well-being while fostering positive relationships with parents and guardians.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement daily lesson plans that promote learning and development in accordance with the daycare's curriculum and guidelines.
2. Create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed.
3. Supervise and engage children in various activities, including playtime, arts and crafts, storytime, and outdoor play.
4. Observe and assess children's behavior, progress, and development, and communicate observations to parents or guardians as needed.
5. Provide individualized attention and support to children with special needs or behavioral challenges.
6. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting open communication and collaboration.
7. Administer basic first aid and respond appropriately to emergencies or accidents.
8. Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and developmental milestones.
9. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
10. Collaborate with other daycare staff to ensure smooth operation of daily routines and activities.

Qualifications:
1. A high school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
2. Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
3. Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods.
4. Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
7. Certification in CPR and first aid preferred.
8. Willingness to undergo background checks and meet licensing requirements as mandated by state regulations.
