Solar Industry - Service Manager 

Goldin Solar is currently seeking an experienced service manager to manage the delivery of both corrective and preventive maintenance services to Goldin Solar’s fleet of over 2,000 residential and commercial solar PV customer installations.  

Compensation:

$25.00 to $30.00 per hour

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor outage and performance alerts generated by customer solar monitoring for PV arrays, and battery backup systems. Responsible for initiating corrective actions where and when appropriate.
  • Perform initial remote troubleshooting and diagnostics with customers to attempt to identify causes of performance issues and gauge scope of work prior to dispatching field staff.
  • Manage the ticketing, staffing, scheduling, and dispatching of field service personnel to investigate and resolve solar PV and battery system service issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of service work performed, findings, and results on a per-incident basis by project in Goldin Solar’s CRM software.
  • Determine warranty vs. chargeability of service work on a per-incident basis, as well as develop price quotes, estimates for chargeable work, and invoicing as required.
  • Oversee RMA handling, including detailed recordkeeping, inbound/outbound tracking of RMA equipment, and filing/invoicing for vendor reimbursements
  • Effectively manage the financial and operational performance of the service department effectively verbally and in writing with customers and team members to solve customer service issues

Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years prior customer service experience required, including case management, scheduling, prioritization, dispatching, and customer interactions associated with service engagements
  • Prior solar PV and/or electrical experience required

 Pay Range:

  • $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
