Job Summary:
Besta Brew is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Seasonal Barista to join our team for the summer. As the first employee of our growing business, you will play a key role in establishing our presence in Venice Beach. This position will primarily involve working with our cold brew tap system, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing the coffee cart operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders, and serve cold brew coffee promptly and accurately.
- Cold Brew Preparation: Maintain and operate the cold brew tap system, ensuring consistent quality and cleanliness.
- Cart Management: Set up and break down the coffee cart daily, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload the coffee cart from the company van at the beginning and end of each day.
- Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and notify management of any shortages.
- Sanitation: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, keeping the coffee cart and surrounding area clean and organized.
- Square Point of Sale Operation: Process card transactions accurately using Square Point of Sale system.
Expectations:
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move the coffee cart and supplies, as well as the flexibility to stand for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work from mid-June to mid-August, including weekends and possibly holidays, for approximately 6 hours per day, 5 days of the week of which there is some flexibility of which days.
- Customer Focus: Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
- Authenticity: Be authentically and comfortably yourself at your job, contributing to a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Reliability: Punctuality and dependability are crucial for this role.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a changing work environment and handle a fast-paced setting.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a barista or customer service role is preferred.
- Familiarity with cold brew coffee and tap systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Plus if you like cold brew :)
