Salary:

$19 to $20 per hour

Our client is seeking motivated individuals who excel at overcoming complex challenges with innovative solutions, fostering an environment of continuous improvement. This role aims to integrate individuals, procedures, and technology to optimize utility operations, driving tangible enhancements and modernization.

Primary Responsibilities:

·       Accurately collect data while prioritizing the safe handling and operation of all equipment.

·       Utilize advanced technologies and specialized tools to assess the condition of primary water line valves and fire hydrants.

·       Conduct leak detection services for water mains.

·       Perform repairs on fire hydrants and water main valves.

·       Maintain the cleanliness and organization of equipment and toolboxes.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

Requirements:

·       Valid Driver's License with a clean record.

·       Background check and drug screening required.

·       Water Distribution Operator or Water Treatment Plant Operator Certification, or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.

·       Preference for candidates comfortable with hands-on work, outdoor environments, and occasional travel, including weekends and nights.

Experience:

·       Utility operations background, especially in water sector, advantageous.

·       Familiarity with water distribution systems, fire hydrants, and mains beneficial.

·       Proficiency in tools for data collection, leak detection, and equipment maintenance essential.

·       Experience with advanced technologies for infrastructure assessment is advantageous.

·       The ability to tackle complex challenges, troubleshoot effectively, and adapt to changing situations is crucial.

Skills:

·       Understanding of safety protocols, confined space work, and equipment handling necessary.

·       Physical stamina, capability to lift heavy loads, and work in diverse outdoor conditions are important.

·       Strong communication skills for team collaboration and conveying technical information valuable.

Regulatory Knowledge:

·       Familiarity with relevant water industry regulations, e.g., EPA standards, beneficial.

·       Experience in navigating regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance is advantageous.
