Dedicated Personnel is currently seeking applicants for Shipping/Receiving and Order Puller in the Irondale area.

An Order Picker, also known as a Picker Packer, plays a crucial role in warehouse operations. Their primary responsibilities include:

  1. Collecting Order Notes: Order pickers review incoming orders to understand what items need to be prepared for delivery.

  2. Selecting Items: They locate and select the correct items from storage shelves or rooms using barcodes, serial numbers, or other identifiers.

  3. Packaging and Securing Items: Before placing the items in envelopes or boxes, order pickers securely shrink-wrap them.

  4. Operating Handling Equipment: They operate forklifts and other heavy machinery to move items efficiently within the warehouse.

  5. Updating Inventory: After retrieving each item, order pickers update stock inventory records.

  6. Loading Delivery Vehicles: They ensure that the selected items are properly loaded onto delivery vehicles.

  7. General Warehouse Duties: In addition to their specific tasks, order pickers may perform other warehouse duties as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse position.
  • Equipment Handling: Familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and write in English.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for accuracy.
  • Physical Stamina: Good physical strength and stamina.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
