As an RBT, you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans for our clients. Your role is crucial in helping clients develop essential skills and achieve meaningful progress.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Implementation of Treatment Plans: Execute individualized ABA treatment plans designed by BCBAs, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
  • Data Collection: Accurately collect and record data on client progress during sessions to inform treatment adjustments.
  • Client Interaction: Engage clients in structured and play-based activities, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to clients' families and caregivers, helping them implement strategies at home and in the community.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with BCBAs and other team members to ensure consistent and effective implementation of treatment plans.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in ABA therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required. If not certified, Therapia Autism will assist in obtaining certification.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework in psychology, education, or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience: Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus, but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with autism and their families.
