Job DescriptionJob Description

Under the direction of a Medical doctor, the Athletic Trainer will assist in evaluation and treatment of all musculoskeletal injuries and sports related injuries.

 

The athletic trainer will have many clinic/administrative responsibilities such as rooming patients, casting, wrapping injuries and educating patientss on prescribed exercise routines and assisting with injections.

 

Ideal candidate will also be cross trained on working the front desk, working referral work queues and be the center of communication for their provider and patients. May also be asked to order supplies.

Skills:

Identify the needs and develop programs and services within the budget constraints

Educate the athlete and/or patient and family as part of the treatment plan and rehabilitative process

Documentation of all healthcare for injury tracking system

Make independent decisions to develop and modify specific treatment plans for each individual injury and rehabilitation for each injury.

Education:

Bachelor's degree, required
Masters degree, preferred
Current BOC certified status, required
Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required upon hire.

    • Current licensure by the Colorado State Board of Athletic Trainers (LAT), required
      Current BOC certified status, required
