Saltz Michelson Architects is looking for an energetic, motivated, highly skilled and experienced BIM Manager to join our team. The BIM Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and technologies across all architectural projects. In addition to assisting Project Managers in the management and production of projects, a compilation of data, performing design computations, review of shop drawings, and production of architectural construction documents. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, ensuring the highest standards of BIM execution, and driving continuous improvement in BIM methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BIM Implementation: Lead the implementation of BIM standards, protocols, and processes across the firm.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project teams to ensure BIM integration throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, from design to construction.
  • Quality Control: Oversee the quality and accuracy of BIM models and ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to project teams and staff on BIM tools and workflows.
  • Software Management: Manage BIM software applications, including Revit, CAD, and other relevant tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and properly configured.
  • Clash Detection and Resolution: Conduct clash detection reviews and coordinate with project teams to resolve any conflicts in the BIM models.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain BIM documentation, including execution plans, standards, and project-specific BIM strategies. Generate reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Innovation and Development: Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and trends, and continuously explore opportunities for improving BIM practices within the firm.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure effective BIM collaboration and communication.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM management within the architectural, engineering, or construction industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools. Strong understanding of BIM standards and protocols.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing BIM projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Certification: BIM certification (e.g., Certified BIM Manager, Autodesk Certified Professional) is a plus.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Architecture (preferred) or equivalent degree
  • Proficiency in the following is required: Revit, BIM360, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • At least six months of experience in architectural design
