The Vine @ Little Rock, a new, growing church plant in West Little Rock is looking for a part-time Director of Praise and Worship to lead our music ministry We are looking for someone who has a heart for the gospel and is passionate about building something new and loving others. Main Responsibilities:

·       Work with Pastor to synthesize Sunday morning worship.

·       Help lead Sunday morning worship services; work with Pastor to ensure the music aligns with the Scriptural theme of the morning.

·       Direct rehearsals with the worship teams on a regular basis.

·       Attend staff meetings once a month.

·       Coordinate special music and maintain a schedule of soloists, instrumentalists, and guest musicians.

·       Create lyric slides for each service and send them to the technology team.

·       Discern songs, hymns, praise sets and instrumental selections to inspire the congregation’s worship of God.

·       Help plan special services and events including but not limited to Easter, Christmas Eve, and Good Friday.

·       Blend contemporary and traditional styles of worship music to accommodate a wide range of worship styles; use both old and new songs with a full range of instruments.

·       Lead music at special events as needed.

Qualifications:

·       Has a calling to serve in this kind of ministry role and ability to clearly articulate that calling to others. Theological beliefs must align with those of the Vine @ Little Rock.

·       Experience in leading worship, vocalists, and musicians.

·       Proficient in playing guitar and/or piano with the ability to lead while playing. The ability to read sheet music is a plus.

·       Ability to develop and work with other musicians.

·       Strong relational skills and an enthusiastic presence for leading worship.

·       Skilled in the use of technology in worship and in the use of sound, visual media and video projection.

·       Respect for all styles and genres of worship music; ability to blend new and old styles.

·       Commitment to ongoing personal, spiritual, and professional growth.

Expectations and Salary:

·       The Worship Leader will report to the Senior Pastor.

·       15-20 hours per week.

·       Starting salary to be based on qualifications and experience.
