Framing Foreman

 

We are seeking a talented and experienced Framing Foreman to join our dynamic team at Nathan Smith Builders. The Framing Foreman will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the framing crew, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a crew of framers, ensuring that safety standards are met and that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with project managers to develop construction schedules, ensuring that all framing activities are properly planned and executed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, ensuring that all framing work is done accurately and in accordance with specifications.
  • Train and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge in framing techniques.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any quality or safety concerns, taking corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure proper coordination and integration of framing work.
  • Manage the procurement and inventory of materials, ensuring that adequate supplies are available for each project.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, time sheets, and material usage reports.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Residential and/or small Commercial framing, with a proven track record of successfully managing framing projects.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve project goals.
  • Extensive knowledge of framing techniques, including wood framing, metal framing, and structural framing.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues on-site.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
