Qualifications and Job Description

·       Act as the company’s single point of contact for the delivery of the project or program during the construction phase of the project delivery process.

·       Work closely with the executive team, client, and architect during the Construction Documents phase of the project to ensure constructability and adherence to budget.

·       Ensure compliance to construction documents and specifications on the part of all contractors and vendors providing services to the construction project.

·       Requests Bids; conducts all necessary meetings to facilitate contractors, compares proposals and makes recommendations for project approval based on overall best value

·       Prepares contracts and change orders; monitors their execution

·       Review blueprints & drawing sets prior to construction project commencement

·       Review all scheduling/timelines in advance of each project

·       Review & verify that all appropriate permits & licenses are in place

·       Inspect & review work in progress to monitor compliance with client specifications

·       Conduct ongoing site reviews as the projects proceed

·       Manage such other construction related issues & matters as may be requested by the company

·       Maintains an atmosphere of positive & professional client relations

·       Provides support for & performs such tasks as may be commissioned from time to time

·       Minimum 10 years’ work experience in Construction from a GC or Owner’s Rep perspective

·       At least 5 years’ experience leading and supporting 3 or more projects simultaneously

·       Intermediate knowledge of Design/Build accounting practices (purchasing, procurement, tendering, capturing and reporting project costs)

·       Working knowledge of design, engineering & technology principles with the ability to read and interpret drawings with accuracy

·       Excellent Project Management skills including conflict resolution and mediation

·       Must be proficient using Microsoft Excel, Project, Word & Outlook

·       Strong leadership skills.

·       Strong organizational skills

·       Critical Path scheduling skills

·       Proactive problem solving experience

·       Clear, concise, and effective communication skills

·       Excellent customer service skills and experience

·       Contract management experience

·       Financial and budgetary management of multiple projects

The Ideal candidate will also have…

·       Restaurant &/or Franchise business model understanding, experience as a project manager for a restaurant or hospitality company as an owner’s representative is highly desirable.

·       An action oriented work style. You know how to overcome potential road blocks without hesitation

·       Strong organization skills and a meticulous attention to detail and quality

·       A professional approach while maintaining a positive, culture-driven attitude and brand integrity

·       Have working knowledge of basic zoning and building codes as they relate to project plans and designs.

·       Be able to represent all client’s brands at meetings with municipalities, jurisdictions and other authorities during permitting due diligence and while projects are under construction.

·       Prepares weekly, interim and completion project reports including project budgeting, design supervision/review, and executive reporting.

·       Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects.

·       Plans and formulates a development program for new sites and organizes project staff according to project requirements.

·       Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.
