Summary: @Work Search is a division of the @Work Staffing Group operating out of Warren MI currently searching for a Skilled Trades Recruiter to help fill all Skilled Trades roles
Recruiter, Skilled Trades will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting, staffing and community outreach strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for Industrial Clients. The skilled trades recruiter primary focus is to find and fill direct hire roles (10% contract to hire) within the industrial sector.

What you will be doing:
Client Acquisition:
To be effective in this role you first have to have a hunter mentality to search and secure long term partnerships in which you can continually service (help recruit for) open trades roles.
- Develop strong, local business relationships in the industrial sector to help fill hourly skilled trades positions
- Cold Calling potential new clients facilitating through the new vendor sign up process
- Skill Marketing highly sought after candidates
Recruiting
• Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
• Collaborates with Department Director and client department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
• Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the clients.
*Actively searches and sources for qualified talent for open positions
• Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
• Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
• Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
• Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions.
• Periodically conduct phone interviews in off-hour times as needed
What you bring to the table:

. • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software, Social Media or other recruitment systems and processes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Must be open to onsite travel to businesses if needed
• Creative thinker and the ability to solve problems and operate in the grey Y
Your Pedigree:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
• At least three years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP/PHR or SPHR certifications a plus. • SHRM's Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus
Experience: Preferred prior experience recruiting high caliper hourly skilled tradesman in either the industrial or construction industry in either a supervisor/manager or human resources capacity. Or prior experience in recruiting/staffing in contingent or retained search
