Job DescriptionJob Description

Multi-family residential property management company seeks an Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to provide constant, real-time support and assistance to the Property Manager and to ensure accuracy of all financial records including but not limited to collection of rent and other monies due in accordance with the tenant’s lease contract and payment of invoices for work done on property in a timely manner. The Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk is expected to provide courteous, professional, accurate, and informative services.

Overview of the Requirements of the position (including but not limited to):

*Process rental payments daily

*Review resident ledgers and ensure accuracy

*Process Housing Assistance Payments

*Ensure HUD paperwork compliance with local Housing Authorities

*Compile bills/estimates for damages to unit to be deducted from security deposit

*Respond to tenant complaints and lease violations by preparing  legal notices and communicating with residents to cure complaints.

                *Process invoices weekly

                *Maintain vendor files

*Draft and type correspondence to residents

                *Receive tenant phone calls and implement appropriate intervention

                *Maintain current and past resident lease files in an organized manner

                *Provide landlord references upon inquiry

Qualifications:

*Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk or like position

*Solid understanding of property management procedures

*Ability to prioritize and organize tasks independently

*Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

*Ability to communicate and work effectively with all personnel and residents in a professional and enthusiastic manner

*Ability to work as a team player and consistent willingness to help others when necessary

Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, lift and carry items weighing 20 pounds or less.

Other Requirements: Must be able to pass a drug test, and criminal history background check prior to employment and possess a valid state driver’s license.
