This position is located at our Capitol Branch, 3001 N Lincoln Blvd, OKC 73105.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Provide outstanding service and contribute to overall team effort.
    • Ensure compliance with all credit union policies and procedures.
    • Serve as internal source for compliance and risk expertise, including practical implementation of compliance requirements within all processes.
    • Understand and maintain knowledge of all related rules and regulations.
    • Ensure confidentiality regarding member transactions and information.
    • Stay informed of operational, regulatory, and other changes that may affect credit union procedures and controls.
    • Assist, research, and consult on credit union projects as assigned.
    • Coordinate and support regulatory exams and outside audits, as assigned.
    • Act as backup for all Risk Department activities, as assigned.
    • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures, as assigned.
    • Review credit union practices and records for compliance with established internal policies and procedures.
    • Develop recommendations for improving internal controls, operating efficiency, and the adequacy of credit union records and recordkeeping.
    • Report findings and recommendations to the Director of Risk Management based on the results of regularly scheduled audits, non-scheduled audits, and at any time when issues need to be addressed.
    • Investigate as requested fraud, embezzlements, and defalcations within the credit union; work in cooperation with law enforcement in any such cases when necessary.
    • Communicate with Branch Operations and members as necessary to identify and research potential suspicious activity.
    • Work with Director of Risk Management to continually comply with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) reporting requirements and assist with new BSA expectations, as necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four years of experience in a similar position.
  • Financial Institution experience is preferred but not required.
