Job DescriptionJob Description
  • Essential Job Functions
     Develop and implement program policies, procedures and regulations.
     Organize, prepare and maintain program records, statistical data, registration, student admission.
     Maintain student database, perform graduation event functions, office operations, maintain office supplies inventory.
     Maintain course schedule and curriculum as directed by the manager.
     Recruit students to the program through marketing, participation in events, digital communications, and other means. Conduct screening selection interviews and perform assessment for program candidates.
     Assist students with all phases of job placement. Lead job fairs, outreach activities, conduct recruitment presentations at various locations.
     Refer/Assist students who have training barriers to community resources and stabilization staff.
     Manage volunteers who coordinate instructional programs and assist students with training barriers, life skills, and job readiness.
     Supervise volunteer staff by coordinating projects, researching and monitoring their workflow and tracking hours worked.
     Mobilize resources in the community to connect students.
     Maintain cooperative working relationships to promote the program and place students with agencies, schools, courts, businesses and partners.
     Attend workshops, meetings, conferences and serve on various committees in the community and internally as it relates to the program.
     Compile and maintain statistical reports, student files and records of participants.
     Prepare reports as needed for dashboards, safety incidents, rosters, etc.
     
  • Minimum Education/Experience
     Bachelor’s degree in communication, Student Services or Social/Human Services plus 3-5 years directly related experience.
     Supervisory experience and ability to work with volunteers and students.
     Good customer service and marketing skills.
     Effective communications (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
     Proven ability to work with a diverse team and manage projects.
     Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook software; including data base management, social media platforms.
     Knowledge of community resources.
     Strong creativity; with an ability to utilize existing resources to generate new ideas, forms, and methods required.
     
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
     Knowledge of the structure and operation of government and community agencies and private businesses;
     Ability to work independently;
     Ability to administer various tests & assessments;
     Ability to forge collaborative relationships with community partners;
     Ability to evaluate client needs using prescribed program methods;
     Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and have high level of organization; exceptional customer service skills; Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
