Shoemaker Financial is seeking a talented and motivated Investment Portfolio Analyst to join our team. The Investment Portfolio Analyst will play a key role in supporting the management and optimization of investment portfolios. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for financial markets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the construction and maintenance of investment portfolios, including asset allocation, security selection, and portfolio optimization.
  2. Monitor portfolio performance and conduct periodic reviews to ensure alignment with investment objectives and guidelines.
  3. Generate investment ideas and recommendations based on fundamental and quantitative analysis.
  4. Develop and maintain financial models and valuation analyses to support investment decision-making.
  5. Prepare investment proposals, presentations, and reports for clients, advisors, and management.
  6. Collaborate with portfolio managers and investment professionals to implement investment strategies and tactical asset allocation decisions.
  7. Assist with portfolio rebalancing, trade execution, and other portfolio management activities.
  8. Stay abreast of market developments, economic trends, and regulatory changes affecting portfolios. Train and educate financial professionals on these topics and the investment porfolios.
  9. Contribute to the development and enhancement of investment processes, tools, and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and actively holds SIE and Series 7 license.
  • 5+ years of experience in investment management, asset management, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of investment principles, financial markets, and portfolio management techniques.
  • Familiarity with investment research tools and databases.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
