Job DescriptionJob Description

The position of Master/Lead Maintenance Mechanic will support our industrial operations. This position offers day shift hours (3:30 am to 2:30 pm), in a union shop environment. As the main Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for trouble shooting, fabrication, repairing and maintaining various machinery and mechanical equipment critical to our production processes.

For consideration, a candidate needs to have 7-10 years of hands-on, recent/current maintenance skills with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic PM's & repairs including welding (TIG, MIG, & Plasma Cutter).

Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain machinery such as valves, gears, components, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines.
- Fabricate, install, maintain, and repair company property including production machines and building maintenance.
- Competent to Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues following maintenance procedures.
- Utilize Mig/Tig/Plasma Torch for necessary repairs.
- Replace electrical components like solenoid valves and motors up to 10 H.P., along with simple controls.
- Operate Lathe and Milling machines to fabricate parts as needed.

Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of demonstrated experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial production facility.
- Proficiency in repairing mechanical drives, clutches, brakes, blowers, and dismantling/reassembling mechanical equipment.
- Competency in reading schematics and utilizing precision measuring instruments.
- Experience with AC/DC motors, gears, bearings, boilers, electrical knowledge, and industrial maintenance practices, ordering of parts and supplies.
- Ability to weld when required.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Valid driver's license with a safety-conscious mindset.
