Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. The Financial Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial activities of our organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success and growth of an international company focused on the outdoors and fishing.

Responsibilities:

·         Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

·         Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.  Directedly managing a              small Accounting Team.

·         Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.

·         Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

·         Coordinate and manage the annual audit process as needed.

·         Monitor cash flow, investment activities, and financial performance metrics.

·         Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets.

·         Provide strategic financial guidance to Executive Management to support decision-making.

·         Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

·         Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in finance and accounting.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

·         Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.

·         Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

·         Experience with financial software and systems; proficiency with NetSuite preferred.

·         Prior experience in an E-commerce environment with multi-state tax nexus

·         Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

·         Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

·         Proven leadership and team management skills.

·         Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
