Job Description:

Express Employment is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. As a member of the union, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing high-quality service to our clients. The ideal candidate will operate company vehicles to travel to our clients' sites and interact with clients as they inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install HVAC equipment and related components. Responsibilities/Fuctions/Equipment:

• Install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• Inspect and perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems
• Repair or replace defective parts in HVAC systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues
• Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards and company policies
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Troubleshooting Various HVAC Equipment:
  - Rooftop Units
  - Chillers
  - Cooling Towers
  - Hot Water / Steam Boiler
  - Packaged Air Conditioners
  - Computer Room AC Equipment
• Familiarity with Control Systems
• Working with Air Handling / Fan Coil Units
• Maintenance of Condensers / Chilled Water Pumps
• Experience with Refrigerated Air Dryers
• Handling Air Compressors
• Repairing Exhaust Fans
• Maintaining Ice Machines
• Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives
• Operating Humidifier

Requirements:

• 3-5 years experience is preferred (well-rounded background as a Journeyman)
• Completion of an HVAC apprenticeship program
• Valid HVAC technician license
• Union membership or willingness to join the union
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills - written and verbal English skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop rapport and productive working relationships with clients, vendors, and co-workers.
