Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking an Assistant Manufacturing Processor, with print reading and manufacturing experience, to join our team. The Assistant Processor will work closely with the Manufacturing Processer, engineering and the production team to build a comprehensive fabrication method and bill of material in the MRP system which will be used to generate job instructions for the production team. The Assistant Processor will play a key role in supporting manufacturing to resolve fabrication issues and updating existing methods and BOM’s to bring them to the company’s current processing standards.

 

Manufacturing Processor Responsibilities:

 

·         Work firsthand with the MRP system to input production process and work instruction information, including creating new internal part numbers

·         Review customer purchase orders and relaying information in the MRP system for packing slips and invoices. 

·         Perform job tracking, analyzing, and closing of job travelers including claiming materials.

·         Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis

·         Perform other duties as assigned

 

Manufacturing Processor Requirements:

 

·         1 year reading and understanding fabrication blueprints

·         2 years MRP systems experience

·         Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel

·         2 years manufacturing and fabrication processes experience

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Lean manufacturing principles experience preferred

·         Reliable and punctual

·         Strong work ethic

·         Attention to detail is a must

·         Strong mathematical aptitude

·         Able to understand sequence

·         Strong trouble-shooting skills

·         Logical thinker

·         Able to work in a fast-paced environment

·         Able to be flexible with daily work demands

·         Able to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment:

 

·         Mix of on shop floor and in office setting.

·         This position is in a manufacturing setting using the usual office equipment like computers, phones, printers, copy machines, etc.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Starting salary: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40-50 per week

Schedule:

  • 5 x 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Blueprint reading: 1 year (Required)
