Job Description:

The position being offered is for a lead alarm technician. The technician will be responsible for the following duties: site survey, installation and maintenance of low voltage systems including intrusion, CCTV, fire and access control. The lead technician position will also be required to manage, guide, instruct and assist other technicians both onsite and remotely.

The lead technician is also expected to be open to continued professional development. In areas such as: equipment knowledge base, technical skills, customer relations, communication skills, and managerial training.

Duties:
- Install, program, and maintain alarm systems for residential and commercial properties.
- Conduct system tests to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with alarm systems.
- Provide technical support to customers regarding alarm system operation.
- Collaborate with clients to determine their specific security needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Install and configure security cameras and other surveillance equipment.
- Use power tools and other equipment to complete installation and repair tasks.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Experience:
- Previous experience as an alarm technician is required.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements for alarm system installation.
- Familiarity with telecommunication systems and protocols used in alarm systems.
- Proficient in using power tools and other equipment necessary for installation and repair work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and provide clear instructions on system operation.
