Position is part time right now and will flex to salaried full-time in August, 2023

Classroom Facilitator will be working hands on with our high school students in our classroom. We are looking for an essential support person for virtual learning student success. The ideal candidate creates a productive learning environment by communicating to the online teacher their student's needs; implementing online teacher initiated organizational, time management and study skills strategies; and motivating and encouraging students who are taught online by a highly qualified teacher.

**Teaching experience preferred but not required**

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Is able to tutor high school athletes in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History). *If subject matter is unknown, can coordinate a 1:1 session with student's subject teacher through the online platform.

2. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.

3.Supports local school policies and procedures by employing behavior management techniques as necessary to ensure the safety of students and an environment conducive to learning.

4. Assists online teacher by monitoring student progress and assists with implementing online teacher initiated strategies to help students in meeting objectives and successfully complete their online course(s).

5. Assists students in organizing and prioritizing their time and productively participating in their online course (submittal of assignments, projects, quizzes, and tests).

6. Facilitates communication between students and management staff and the online learning platforms; reports on our two curriculum platforms, and to SAI Academy Directors as necessary and appropriate.

7.Updates student progress as needed.

8. Participates in ongoing training as required.

9. Monitors computers within the lab and notify school technology representative as needed.

10. Assists online teacher by maintaining daily attendance records and notifying administrator of any attendance issues (lengthy illnesses, hospitalization, withdrawals, etc.)

11. Ensures students have course resources.

12. Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
