Kansas Preferred Insurance is is seeking an organized and efficient specialist to fulfill administrative duties and support insurance agents in gaining and keeping customers. As Customer Service Representative with our agency, your attention to detail, dedication to client relations, and providing support to licensed team members will equip you for this versatile position. (Bonus opportunities available) KPI is a family agency located in De Soto KS with easy access to K-10 for fast commute.

Hours: Monday, Thursday, Friday 10am - 3pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service.
  • Service can include, answering phones, taking payments in person and over the phone, gathering information from callers and sending to licensed team members, explaining billing to policyholders, checking completed changes, filing, completing Certificates of Insurance, emailing forms and documents, scanning documents, contacting policyholders for items needed, and sending policy holders and claimants to claims, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Dedicated to customer service. Insurance knowledge highly desired.
  • Ability to answer phones in a professional manner in a busy office setting. We are an independent agency, so you will need to learn; our management system, as well as multiple carrier sites.
  • Be detailed oriented, people-oriented, be proactive in problem solving, able to learn computer functions on multiple computer programs, ability to work in a team environment, ability to multi-task, and have excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening.
  • Ability to ask probing questions to understand what a caller is calling for and pass the information on to other team members.
