Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a motivated and hands-on Graphic Design Apprentice to join their production team. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain practical experience in graphic design and production, working alongside experienced professionals. The apprentice will assist in creating visually appealing designs and contribute to various production tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design Creation: Assist in developing engaging designs for signs, banners, and other visual materials.
· Production Support: Help with the production process, including preparing files for print, operating graphic plotters, and ensuring quality control.
· Installation Assistance: Aid in the installation of signs, including working on ladders and scaffolding.
· Material Handling: Work with vinyl material, paint, adhesives, and solvents.
· Maintenance: Keep the workspace clean and organized, including cleaning floors, equipment, break room, and emptying trash as needed.
Job Requirements:
· Physical Ability: Regularly move objects up to 60 pounds.
· Tool Proficiency: Ability to proficiently use power tools, panel saw, drills, cutting tools, X-Acto knives, razor blades, and other shop equipment.
· Mobility: Comfortably move on ladders and scaffolding.
· Driving Skills: Ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle.
· Environment Adaptability: Work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
· Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety instructions and maintain a drug-free workplace.
