We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher to join our team. The ESL Teacher will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering high-quality English language instruction to non-native speakers. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of the English language, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of language acquisition methodologies. Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the varying language proficiency levels and learning styles of students.
2. Utilize a variety of teaching techniques and materials to engage students and enhance their language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
3. Assess students' language abilities regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their progress.
4. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters cultural understanding and sensitivity.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum materials and instructional strategies.
6. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to address concerns, share progress, and promote student success.
7. Stay informed about developments in ESL teaching methodologies, language acquisition research, and cultural trends.
8. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in ESL education.
9. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and achievements.
10. Foster a supportive and respectful classroom community where students feel motivated to learn and take risks in using English.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Certification in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), TESOL, CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), or equivalent.
3. Previous experience teaching English language learners in a classroom setting preferred.
4. Strong command of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and idiomatic expressions.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
6. Flexibility, creativity, and adaptability in responding to the needs of individual learners and changing instructional contexts.
7. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching and supporting English language learners in reaching their goals.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary for this position will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Hour rate between $18- $22.

Please note this is an In-Person, Part-time, Contractor Position. Our office is located in Summerville South Carolina.
If qualified, there are three possible shifts offered depending on need. Each shift is 18 hours weekly.
Monday - Thursday ( Mornings) : 8:30 am - 1:00 pm
Monday - Thursday ( Evenings): 6:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Friday - Saturday ( Weekends): Friday - 8:30 am - 6:30 pm + Saturday - 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
