Happy Day Montessori School in Albany is looking for a loving, caring, and fun Preschool Lead Teacher to join our wonderful team.

A Preschool Lead Teacher must:

  1. Have at least an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and having Montessori Training is a plus
  2. Have at least 2 years of experience working with young children
  3. CPR and First Aid certification (be able to attend the training), live scan clearance, and background check
  4. Complete a Tuberculosis test and provide a physician's documentation of both and provide immunization record including COVID-19 vaccine
  5. Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a group of children aged 2-5 years old
  6. Have a love for children and enjoy working with children
  7. Be able to kneel, bend, squat, and lift

REQUIRED EXPECTATIONS:

  1. Ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, and physical needs as well as their educational needs
  2. Utilize developmentally appropriate practice and best practice methods at all times
  3. Be reliable, dependable, warm and nurturing with children
  4. Be a positive role model for all care giving staff and children
  5. Be punctual and a good team player
